First time PC owner (pre-build) needs suggestions for peripherals that can get the most out of the build for the best price? Especially help needed with 4K monitor.
I chickened out after reading and thinking about trouble-shooting after a personal build so for my first build I had it done professionally. Yes I spent too much money. So I don't need to hear about it (although actually it's a gift to me from my wife. She told me to not buy cheap). Even though I had it built the peripherals were even more expensive there and I don't want my wife to buy them so I only had the desktop built. What is the best monitor above 27 inches I can buy under $800? I want 4K and I think it runs G-snyc. I'd like to keep it closer to $500 but I'd go that high. I want to run this rig as high spec as I can. IS HDMI the only way to connect a 4K monitor or is there another way to cable it?
So any help with the peripherals to match this build would be of great help. I don't care about cosmetics other than a backlit keyboard and the best monitor for the money for my build. I don't care if the mouse looks kewl or a small speaker set up looks nice. I care more about what's inside and what pushes my rig the farthest for the money. Also if there are any cables that I'm forgetting or can be upgraded that make a difference that would help. The desk won't be far from the T.V. so I probably want the ability to connect the two. I need cables for the Xbox controller but how long is enough but not too much usually? I don't care to buy a new wired controller because I already have extras. I have headphones but maybe interested in a new pair that offer 5.1 or 7.1 instead of basic stereo. I want a mechanical backlit keyboard. The mouse. The surge protector. Desk suggestion (not expensive but not flimsy) for case 16.8x8.5x18.3?Anything else I haven't thought off?
Here are a keyboard and little sound system I have picked out so I just need approval.

Pro tip.Even though they don't take Amex I called Amex and their warranty extension (which is way better than Visa/MC) works by proxy via PayPal. So if you have AMEX and buy electronics and they don't take AMEX now you know.
I did nothing cosmetic and put all the money inside obviously. So any help with these peripherals would be greatly appreicated. Thanks!
